What I love about the museum: Manageable in size and diversified in styles. You will be able to find small collections of American, Asian, Fashion, Latin American, etc. It is also next to PHX theater which has a lot of fun things to do for kids.
What Ms. V likes about the museum: We get to make artworks and the fireflier room is amazing!
Speaking of the fireflier room (showing above), I noticed something interesting. Adults were scared of the room. When I stick my head in the room, I felt strong alter going off in my head: danger! No floor! danger! Unknown depth! I suspect my friend had the some experience because she didn't want to step into the room either. However, kids LOVED it! The mirror combined with colorful lights created a super strong visual impact that felt different for them! Does this mean kids are more brave then others? Or, is it because their little brain just don't have enough experiences to lay down all the possible obstacle for them yet?
When adults trying to do something different in life, say become an entrepreneur, we focus on the obstacle while little kids only care about how to get it done. The earlier we can help them write the money story of success, the better off they will be.
Since the phoenix theater is next to the museum, we got to experience a story time and a mini music/acting class provided by the staffs. It was fun watch those little girl learn how to act as monkey, how to use their voice and put everything together as a show in 15 minutes!
SO MUCH FUN!
